Question DMK21 USB camera with Ubuntu 10.04 Linux

Hi,

I'm interested to use my new camera with Ubuntu linux. I'm using the UVC video driver, which detects the device:
[ 222.413887] Linux video capture interface: v2.00
[ 222.420680] usbcore: registered new interface driver uvcvideo
[ 222.420874] USB Video Class driver (v0.1.0)
[ 2433.441628] usb 1-3: USB disconnect, address 2
[ 2449.772110] usb 1-3: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 3
[ 2449.906241] usb 1-3: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice

But it's not detected by the unicap_enumerate_devices function.
Any advice appreciated.

Thanks,
Tom

Tom,

I suggest to post the same in the Unicap forum. Right now, The Imaging Source does not provide Linux support.

Tom,

Did you try the V4L driver and the Mplayer (?) software?

Re: DMK21 USB camera with Ubuntu 10.04 Linux

Hi Stefan,
I'm looking at the Video 4 Linux driver. I'm still having a few problems probing the camera but hopefully I'll get it working soon. I'm going to try MPlayer and UCView.

Thanks,
Tom
