10' or longer usb cable?

anyone know if i can use a longer than six foot usb cable on the dfk61buc02?
i'd like at least ten feet. bought a ten foot cable at the store, though, and it
doesn't seem to work. when i look at monoprice.com, i see that they have
five, eight, and fourteen pin cables. i think all of the ten footers are five pin.
anyone know if these work with imaging source cameras? carry power ok?

thanks,
BabaG
