    Question Dmk 23um021

    Hello guys.

I am planning to buy DMK 23UM021. I have requested Labview drivers for this ( Hopefully it works without any glitches ) .

Does this camera have any IR filter in front of the sensor. I have asked the same question to them and I haven't got any reply as yet.

The tech support seems to be always busy.

    Thanks.

    Hello

I am very sorry, that you did not got an answer (whom did you ask?). The DMK and DBK models have *no* IR Cut filter. However, the DMK 23UM021 will need some more time to be finished, than the other models.
    Best regards

Yes, the sale department from Imaging source contacted me saying there is a delay in the firmware production of Dmk 23um021 and sent me DMK 42BUC03. Which has almost the same configurations as original except USB 2.0 instead of 3.0. Once they get the original one I ordered , this will be replaced by that.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,

I have another question, I have been given the DMK 42BUC03 that has Aptina Sensor MT9M021. My application is confocal imaging, and my idea is to use this camera to image the back scattered light which is actually from a laser source. Would it damage the sensor of the camera ? ...

I am really concerned about this , please do advise what precautions should be taken to protect the sensor.
