IC Capture error: Device lost (DMK 21AU04)

I browsed the forum and found no solution, so forgive me if I post a problem that's been answered.

I'm using a Lenovo laptop, plugged, trying to use a DMK 21AU04 for an experiment. After I installed the driver, the computer recognized the device, device manager.png, this is shown in the device manager. However when I tried to start IC Capture, the error message said that the device was lost, device lost.png. I've tried reinstalling the drivers and programmes, it just didn't work. Hope someone can help me with this, thanks in advance.

    Hi Richard,

It is forgiven Feel free to post, I will try to answer all.

You issue sounds either for a power or a cable problem. Therefore, I suggest to use another USB cable. In case you own an USB printer, simply take its cable and see what happens.

If it is a power problem, which means, the laptop does not provide the needed 500mA through the USB bus, then you may need an external powered USB hub.

It is no software problem, so reinstalling drivers and software wont help.
    Best regards
    Stefan
