    Question DFK 72BUC02 supported resolutions

    Hi,
I’m using the DFK 72BUC02 camera. On its specifications (http://www.theimagingsource.com/it_I...usb-cmos-color), is reported that is supports both the resolutions
    - 1280x960 1/4.5" 19fps 1.4 V/lux-sec
    - 1280x960 1/2.5" 15fps 5.6 V/lux-sec.
I don’t understand well what is the difference and how I can set both the formats using IC Capture. I’m only able to set the resolution to 1280x960 in a manner that it crops the image, and I think that this correspond to the first configuration. Can I set the 1280x960 resolution and have the 1/2.5” format?

    Thanks and kind regard
    Andrea

    Re: DFK 72BUC02 supported resolutions

    Hello:
    No binning:
    - 1280x960 1/4.5" 19fps 1.4 V/lux-sec

    Binning:
    - 1280x960 1/2.5" 15fps 5.6 V/lux-sec.

That is the difference. Binning "adds" two pixels, therefore the image is brighter.
    Best regards

You enable it using the button with the grid icon right to the video format combox, or you use the "Device" menu and select "Settings". In the device settings dialog you can choose video formats with the extension "[Binning 2x]" and "[Binning 4x]". This enables binning.

    Re: DFK 72BUC02 supported resolutions

Sorry to disturb you again, but I don't have the formats with the extension "[Binning 2x]" and "[Binning 4x]". On the Video Format combo box I have only the following formats:
    BY8 (96x96), ... BY8 (2592x1944), Y800 (96x96), ... Y800 (2592x1944), RGB24 (96x96), ... RGB24 (2592x1944), and RGB32 (96x96), ... RGB32 (2592x1944) (I attached a screenshot)
I have also the latest drivers (version 1.3.8). Is something I am missing, or is a problem of the drivers?

Right to the format combo is a button in IC Capture 2.2 with a grid like symbol. Please download the latest IC Capture version from:
