Hi,
I've incorporated a 1394 adapter and a PixeLink camera into my digital image processing application. It takes asynchronous images by external trigger at 7 fps and anlyze them. I try to use the double buffer technique: acquire the image N and process the image N-1 but the image transfer is interfered by the high CPU usage in image processing: the images acquired are deformed (desinchronized). I use a Pentium IV at 1.7 GHz in Windows 2000. Why I can't use the CPU while the image is tranferring?. I can use another camera manufacturer that solves this problem?
Best regards,
