When storing as a Triggered event the image captured doesnot appear in BMP image. a blank image is stored. Does anyone know why a triggered image would be different than continuos.?

Private Sub cmdStartLive_Click()
ICImaging1Control1.DeviceTrigger=True
ICImaging1Control1.LiveStart
End Sub
Private Sub cmdStopLive_Click()
ICImaging1Control1.LiveStop

ICImaging1Control1.MemorySaveImage ("c:\bill.bmp")
End Sub

Hi Bill,

LiveStop does not wait MemorySnapTimeout milliseconds for an image to snap,
because it should end the live mode even if the capture device does not send
samples (actually it quits trying to snap an image after 2 seconds).

You should use the following code to snap and save a triggered image :

Private Sub cmdStartLive_Click()
ICImaging1Control1.DeviceTrigger=True

' to prevent LiveStop to capture an image at all set the following :
ICImaging1Control1.LiveCaptureLastFrame=False

ICImaging1Control1.LiveStart
End Sub

Private Sub cmdStopLive_Click()
' this will wait until MemorySnapTimeout 5000 milliseconds timeout occurs
' or a frame has been grabbed.
ICImaging1Control1.MemorySnapTimeout = 5000
ICImaging1Control1.MemorySnapImage

' this will not snap anything
ICImaging1Control1.LiveStop

' this should save the image for whitch the trigger occured
ICImaging1Control1.MemorySaveImage ("c:\bill.bmp")
End Sub

Best regards
Stefan
