storing a image

If I store a single image with a Videoformat other then 360*288 I get a distorted picture, somtimes two pictures in a file.
I´m using as video source "Microsoft DV camera", Video Format 720*576 and the preview is ok.


Another question:I can grab a single image, but is there a way to capture a "half picture" (one single image consits of two half pictures).
