Hello,

We use a 23G445 camera (S.N. 35410445) at 30fps. The images are collected and processed in matlab (using TISIMAQ).
We would like to register the precise time of each frame's exposure in the camera's clock time (through the Herose port).

'Strobe' feature is almost what we need, but as far as we know it provides no indication if an image was actually taken or not.

Can you give us any advice how to properly use the 'trigger' and 'strobe' options for our needs?

Thank you,
Alex.

Hello Alex

I am very sorry, but accessing the clock of the camera is not possible with your 23G445. It is possible with the 33G445 series only.

Hello Stefan,

By reading few posts it seams that 33G445 can access it's internal clock, and has internal memory that can resend dropped frames.
But I couldn't find a specification page and no manual for this series. The description of 33G445 is identical to 23G445.

Where can a find a list of a new features that explains the benefits of 33G445 over 23G445?

Thank you,
Alex.

Hello Alex

sorry for missing your post.

The DFK 33G445 can be found at https://www.theimagingsource.com/products/industrial-cameras/gige-color/dfk33g445/

There is no document, that really shows the differences between the 23 and 33 series. However, you found a few. There is also new, the 33 series does automatics for exposure, gain and white balance on board and not in the driver as the 23 does.
