View Full Version : IC Imaging Control C Library problem on WIndows 10 anniversary Update 1607

September 2, 2016, 19:22:10

I use the IC Imaging Control C Library since 2011, same code for connecting to the camera and retrieving frames.

Currently I'm testing with a DFM 72BUC02-MLPB USB camera on Windows 10 with the problematic update 1607.

After successfully connecting to it and setting parameters, on the first IC_SnapImage to grab a frame, I get a timeout and it returns zero.

Any occurrences of that with other customers?

I tested it on ICCapture and it works, apparently.

I heard about problems with UVC Cameras, i'm currently facing it with other cameras.

This is a problem of Windows 10 Anniversary Update. Microsoft broke this.

We must develop new drivers, but this will take app. three month.

You can only rollback this update and complain at Microsoft.

And yes, all Windows 10 Anniversary Update users, that use USB cameras, e.g. ours and Logitec are affected.

Microsoft solved the problem on 29th September with the KB3194496 update.
