Hi,
I have just purchased a DFK21AU04.AS and i am having difficulty focusing on any star. I have a skywatcher ED80.
Using IC Capture to see the live view, i have focused right in and right out but to no avail. The camera does work because i have tried it on a streetlight and that was visible in IC Capture

Has anyone used the DFK21AU04.AS with the SkywatcherED80, and could give me an idea of the focusing position of this camera.

Thanks in hope someone can help

Gustavo,
I regularly use the DMK21 and DMK41 with my ED80 (+Ha etalons) for solar observing....
The DxK 21 chip, as you know is pretty small...do you get any star image in IC capture?
If you're working without the diagonal you'll probably need a 50mm extension to get to focus.

What you might try is focusing the setup during the day on an object that is a few miles away. This should get you very close to where you need to be at night. Or use the moon as a reference at night. I use mine regularly on planets and the Sun and use a Celestron prism diagonal on the back. Good luck.
