Hi,

I'am trying to use the "x264vfw - H.264/MPEG-4 AVC" codec to encode video from a DFK 23GP031 camera.

With this codec, in your DemoApp (IC Imaging Control 3.4 Sample Demo Application) When i launch the video recorder I obtain this error :

x264vfw [warning]: Few frames probably would be lost. Ways to fix this:
x264vfw [warning]: - if you use VirtualDub or its fork than you can enable 'VirtualDub Hack' option
x264vfw [warning]: - you can enable 'File' output mode
x264vfw [warning]: - you can enable 'Zero Latency' option
x264vfw [error]: x264_encoder_encode failed

I have try all options and configuration but the result is the same : ERROR...

Do you have any suggestion about this ?

Thanks for your answer

Regards,

Alf

Hello

I have to admit, I have no experiences with your codec. But "vfw" points to "video for Windows". Maybe this is the problem, because we use DirectShow...

You may ask the programmer of your codec about this.

Well... The "x264vfw - H.264/MPEG-4 AVC" codec is a good free one.
Strangely, this codec have been working for 1 about hour!

Do you know an another H.264 encoder and decoder (codec) than can I use fine with the DFK 23GP031 ?

I tested one of nanoCOSMOS but it was worth...

Hello,
Hello,

May I ask you to give H.264 codec recommendations (free or not) for Windows on my email address ?
I have not any experience in.
Like I wrote above, I try the nanoCOSMOS codec but it doesn't work at all.

Thanks.
