Will there ever be a Linux shared object that can be called the same way as the tisgrabber.dll for Windows?

Hi

Will there ever be a Linux shared object that can be called the same way as the tisgrabber.dll for Windows?

Well, the answer is yes and no. The access to the camera will be somewhat different, so we have all possibilities Gstreamer will provide. E.g. it is hard to do AVI and image capture at the same time in Windows. But in Linux, using Gstreamer, you can do this with a simple pipeline.
Also audio support: The tisgrabber.dll has no audio support. In Linux with Gstreamer, it is not hard to do this.

Handling Gstreamer pipeline modules and building a pipeline is simpler than building a DirectShow filter graph.

We are still working on own pipeline modules, than will handle our cameras in a simple way.
