Hello,
I have a strange camera called dmk21F04 in a black casing and without letters 'A' and 'AS'. It has two firewire ports and one power supply. I want to let use it to astrophotography but the longest exposure time of 1/32s and camera speed is a maximum of 30fps. (I checked on the IC Capture program). Does anyone know what kind of camera and whether it can be useful for astrophotography.

The camera was build many years ago. It is an industrial camera and was not designed for astronomy purposes. However, it is a nice camera with the older 098 sensor from Sony. Compared to current 618, the 618 is much more light sensitive.

However the little DMK 21F04 has a power plug for 12V input, which is an advantage, if you use a laptop.

Thank you for your response. 12 volt power supply is not a problem for me.
Is it possible to do more longer exposures than 1/32s ? IC software currently does not offer such opportunities, and is it possible to get a rate of 60/fps ?

I am very sorry, longer exposure times are not possible. IC Capture reads, what the camera offers. Same with frame rates. Also here IC Capture reads, what the camera offers.
