Hi,

I connected this usb3 camera to several computers and for some reason I don't understand it is only detected by my laptop (that is useless for what I need). All desktops I tried fail to detect it.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Some questions:

Which desktop computers do you use? Windows version? USB 3.0 chipset? USB 3.0 drivers ?

Hi Stefan,

The camera was connected to a windows 7 computer with an Asus P8Z77-V LE PLUS
******board that has the IntelĀ® Z77 Express Chipset.
USB drivers are microsoft 6.1.7601.18328

Thanks

So I got the camera to be detected by the computer but now when I try to grab images using IC Capture I get an error saying that "the device is in live mode but doesn't seem to deliver images".

Any ideas?

For Windows 7 please install the original Intel USB 3.0 controller drivers from the Intel website.
Also connect the USB 3.0 cable to the back side connectors, not to the front side ones.
And use a good USB 3.0 cable.

Hi Stefan,

The camera is detected by windows now but I consistently get a message that it is in live mode but does not deliver images.
This is irrespective of frame rate.

Thanks
Dani

Hi

Did you exchange the USB 3.0 cable?
What happens, if the camera is connected to an USB 2.0 controller on your computer?
What happens, if you lower the frame rate?
Is there a webcam software installed?
