Hi All!

I have a new JAI GigE Vision camera (JAI SP-5000M-GE2, http://www.jai.com/en/products/traffic/sp-5000-ts) and I cannot see this from the Matlab 2013b Image Acquisition Toolbox (toolbox version 4.6).

I've tried everything, what I could find on the internet (install the filter driver, do not install the filter driver, install just turn off the filter driver).

I can see the camera from the camera`s on tool (JAI control tool), but cannot from Matlab.

Do you have any idea, how could I succeed?

Br,
David

Hi David,

The idea is: Ask the JAI and Matlab support. We have no experiences with camera about our competitor.

BTW: I can not see an image from our own GigE cameras in Matlab R2013b too. Therefore, there may is an issue with the Matlab GigE implementation. But I did not investigate into this too far.

Hi Stefan,

At first I want to thank you for your answer.
And I want to apologize for my misplaced question. I'm totally new to the area and get a bright new camera, had problems and found a really good forum. I did not even realize that it is an other company.

Sorry.

Best regards,
David

Hi Stefan,

I did investigate into this today.
The Matlab Adaptor supports only the GigE Vision 1.2 standard (and the new cameras are made with 2.0 standard).

Kind regards,
David

Hi David,

BTW: No problem asking me :-)

Thank you for your feedback. I would have expected, that there is a downward compatibility. I should ask Matlab about this.
