I see that Imaging Source have joined with Celestron in the astronomical camera market....
Does this mean that there will be no future development of IS (ie DMK etc) cameras for the astronomical community???
I'd love to have seen a future model of the DMK series with a ST-4 (usb?) guide port connection!

Hi

Good question.... I can not answer this right now, this will be a management decision.

Fair enough!
What would the astronomical community have to do to "persuade" management to move in this direction?
We could organise a petition?
TIS have filled a significant position in amateur astronomy with their high frame rate, high quality, colour/ mono cameras.....I would not like to see them loose that edge to the "newcomers"

Hello

I am very sorry, I did not read correctly you question:

Does this mean that there will be no future development of IS (ie DMK etc) cameras for the astronomical community???

The correct answer is: We will do new developments, but in cooperation with Celestron.
