Hi Group

Would appreciate some advice / recommendations for the most appropriate / optimum video format and codec settings for use with the DBK 41AU.02AS camera. Using this with a laptop for solar observing but finding that when using YUY2 and RGB32 at 7.5 fps, it sticks / stops recording, whilst when using other settings i.e. Y800 then find issues saved file not opening or issues with registax. Not too sure if this is due to the power of the laptop Intel due core 21.Ghz processor / or memory issues.

Any suggestions & advice welcome.

When testing my DFK21 colour camera, with lens cap on (totally dark) have the gain about one quarter way up and exposure @60fps there is a reddish dot top right of frame, but if i make exposures shorter than 1/60th second the dot starts to disappear get up to about 1/80th of a second and it's gone, but as all imaging is under 1/60th then it is always there.

So my question is this a dead, stuck or hot pixel i am seeing?

You see a hot pixel.
