View Full Version : POE problem

I have a DMK 23G445 camera. I want to use Power over Ethernet to power it, but there are two types of POE injector in the market: one power on pin 1/2 (+) 3/6 (-) (Endspan), the other power on pin 4/5(+) 7/8(–) (Midspan).
I want to know which type of power supply of this camera is? Endspan or Midspan?? There is no specification of such issue for this camera provided on the imaging source website.
Thank you!

The cameras can be powered by IEEE 802.3af Standards A and B [1000 (1 Gigabit) DC & Bi-Data (mode A and B] with a voltage range of 37-57VDC. Common voltages of Powered Gigabit Ethernet Switches and Injectors are 48V and 56V. Your injector must be compliant to this, then there is no problem.
