I have been using my imaging source camera since I bought it late last year. I have used a Dell 32 bit WIndows XP laptop with no problem. I now have a 64 bit machine with Windows 8. I have installed the latest version of IS Capture and the driver. It runs fine and I can image planets through my telescope on the screen and can save videos in Y800 format as usual. But when I try to process the videos with Registax 6 there is no Bayer colour information. If I select bayer colour processing in Registax the image (loaded into registax) on the screen disappears. There is just a black box where the image was. Can you help please.

Dear Paul,

Microsoft change something in DirectShow, so the AVI files are saved in a different way. Media Player will show them, but older programs like Registax will fail. However, please use the driver 2.5.8.916 from http://www.theimagingsource.com/de_DE/support/downloads/. This should solve your issue.

Many thanks. Seems to work - real test tonight when I have another go at imaging Saturn !
