Could you answer my question about the quality of the IR filter fitted in these cameras
and do i remove the filter by unscrewing the 2 tiny screws on the side of the housing and then unscrewing thr round threaded nut in the centre that the nosepiece screws into and does that release the filter?? or am i missing something if so could you tell me how to remove it please?/

The quality of the fiilter is fine, however, I have no other filters to compare.

It is not simply unscrewing some things. The filter is glued into the camera. The complete camera housing must be dismounted from back to front. After reassembling the camera, the camera maybe is out of focus.

The focus does not matter when used with a telescope, as focusing is done on the scope itself so removing the IR filter will make no difference. only when used with a camera lens could it be a problem.

Yes, focus has exactly nothing to do with it as we manually focus with a telescope, as is well known by anyone of course..
