Hi,
I am a new user. I do not know much about all these nice formats and codecs for video. What combination would you suggest for getting videos of Jupiter, with the obvious goal of stacking images from the video, hoping to get an image that would be as detailled as possible? I want colors in the processed final image.
Thanks for your help!

Hi,

this is a good point to start with:

Y800/Y800 and then process and debayer in AS!2 or registax is what i would suggest.

Thanks Stefan! I saw this info before and I think it will be useful. However, I would like to know if I this is the best I can do or if I should plan to use other format/codec combinations for getting better data.

Thanks Freddie! Did you try other combinations? I am trying to determine the best format/codec pair for getting the best from my material.

These are loss less so no compression and therefore keep all the data. Also smaller file sizes so these are the best as far as I am concerned. I never use anything else.

Thanks Freddie, I will see if it works well in my hands. I guess it will!

Y800 + unspecified gets processed a little bit quicker by Autostakkert than straight Y800 + Y800..Don't know why, it just is..
