Hello,

Maybe its a problem of polarization. Therefore you may try to switch +/-. The camera is protected against wrong polarization. What is the serial number of the camera? Is the camera detected on another computer?

You need an external power supply for the , because laptops do not provide power through FireWire. You may refer to: http://www.theimagingsource.com/downloads/fwacccamswopsuwp.en_US.pdf
