DBKAU04.AS Full disk sun help?

I have a DBKAU04.AS and just purchased a Lunt LS60/B1200, and taken some pics with the DBKAU04.AS which are turning out ok. But I really want to get a full disk image of the sun with the DBKAU04.AS. I know the chip size is not going to allow that, and can't afford a DMK31/41 at this time. I have a nice 1.25" .5x focal reducer I tied on the nose piece in but can't get focus.

My question is; can I use the .5x focal reducer on the DBKAU04.AS and get full disk of the sun? I have heard it may be an infocus issue or may need a shorter nose piece? Any help would be appreciated...

I really like the DBKAU04.AS and just want to make use of it for solar till the budget will allow for a larger camera.

Just an addition for astronomers, who can answer Dan's question: He uses the DBK 21AU04.AS model, which has an 1/4" sensor with VGA resoultion.
