Recorded AVI cannot rewind?

Ok, this seems to be a problem of Media Player rather then IC.
Sorry for asking anyway, I searched the net but found no useful explanation, and you can probably give me a short answer on this:

When playing back an AVI recorded by IC with Windows MediaPlayer, the Rewind-Button is not available (grayed out).
Fastforward DOES work, "dragging" does also work, but no rewind. Why is that?
(Rewinding does work for example in "Divx Plus Player").

It does not work in 9.0 and 11.0

Hello Nick,

There is no rewind button in the Media Player. There is the position slider. The only buttons I found are for previous and next file.

The buttons at both ends of the slider ;-)
Also via menu bar:
Wiedergabe -- Rücklauf (greyed out)
Wiedergabe -- Schnellvorlauf (works)

Ah, right. Never saw them. I do not know, why button is greyed out.
