Hi,

I am a C# developer and want to create an image measurement software. The one which will mark and measure a circle's diameter, rectangular area with a click of mouse in a image file. The image could be of any type. This image will be captured from a camera and transfered to the computer through USB.

I want to know which tool or IDE I can use to easily develop such kind of tool with minimum efforts. Can I use IC Imaging Control SDK (is it free / where can I get it from ?)

Yes, you can use IC Imaging Control together with our cameras for free. However, IC Imaging Control is only for access the camera and getting the images. It is not an image processing library.

Ok but does Image Source provide any software which can be used as a 3rd party tool and a customised software can be build upon it ?. As I am not good in image analyses programming, m looking for something ready made to be used as a tool in my application for calculating an image dimension.

I am not sure about your reason for wanting to create an image measurement tool but if you are in the need to measure on images and you are not in it for the fun of it i suggest you have a look at our free Image Measurement tool: KLONK Image Measurement Light (http://www.imagemeasurement.com).

Hello Chistiandersen,

The post above goes a little bit into advertising, but it fits to the thread, therefore, we approved it.

However, the mentioned software uses a TWAIN interface, which is not a suitable for video feeds. It is more for single image capture.
