The "Sample Demo Application" program of IC Imaging Control 3.2 beta make memory leak under win 7, when start/stop for many times, and can't release these memory after exited.

Hello,

Since you already spoke with Jack about this, I would like to discontinue the thread here. However, the IC 3.2 beta shows a memory leak in Windows 7. Its a beta. Thus you must expect problems. The programmers are advised to find the reason and hopefully a solution, if it is an IC problem and not a DirectShow problem in Windows 7. In all versions of DirectShow below 9.0c was a handle leak in the video renderer. We were not able to fix it, but Microsoft fixed it in version 9.0c. Thus the leak must not necessarily be in IC. In your email to Jack you wrote, the problem is not in Windows Server 2003, but only in Windows 7, thus I guess, the problem is caused by Microsoft. However, Jack will keep you informed. Thank you for reporting this issue, it is very helpful.

Thx for your reply, can you tell how to avoid using the DirectShow technology?

Hello,

You can not avoid DirectShow, except you want to write a new propreitary driver for the camera. However, we still search for the problem. My colleague Jack will keep you informed.

Because he is on holidays until Wednesday. However, I would like to point out, IC 3.2 is right now only Beta. It has not been released until now.

Ok, what time to publish the 3.2 release version? is there a schedule?

Can the 3.1 release version avoid this problem?

No, no release date.

If the problem is caused by DirectShow, then IC 3.1, 2.0 and before should show the same problem. However, I did not check this right now.
