I've been using RGB32 with this camera for planetary photography and photographing the ISS. I've been pretty happy with the results, but I wonder what other codecs I might want to try. I don't want to mess with debayering, but would like faster frame rates. Any suggestions?

Here are my ISS pictures:

Thank you.

I think I figured it out. I can leave RGB32 alone and select one of three different compression formats. YUY2 - which allows 7.5 fps, BY8 which allows 15 fps and Y800 which also allows 15 fps. I turn on bayering on in IC Capture for the last two and get a color preview and a color image.

Is this right?

Yes, you are right. BY8 is in the camera the same as Y800. But BY8 is interpreted different by DirectShow, it should be automatically be converted to a colored video while Y800 shows the CCD raw data.
