Hello.

Using C#, I want to create a service process where one of the threads continually grabs an image from a firewire camera. The image is then dispatched to another thread the analyses it. I have read through your examples, but it I can find no other way of connecting to the camera, than by using your ICImagingControl which requires that the thread is in STA state and hence uses a Windows messaging queue, which is not at all what i intend to, since it should run as a service.

Thanks

Hello,

Did you try to create IC Imaging Control dynmaically, without using a form:
TIS.Imaging.ICImagingControl ic = new TIS.Imaging.ICImagingControl("Insert your license key here!");

You can create IC 3.1 on an arbitrary thread, we did not saw anly problems with this right now.

Do you get any error messages?

I was running an older version, had tried with 3.0, which didn't work. As you suggested, running with 3.1 worked fine.
Thank you!
