View Full Version : A small statement on the ICImagingControl setup

Hey there,

I just wanted to make a point on something which is, imho, a little issue:
I developed some CV application using ICImagingControl (.NET) and am right now trying to publish it. I worked on a 64 bit system (win 7), but for compatibility for some other library, the build target is x86. So I thought it would make sense to use the files from C:\Program Files\Common Files\IC Imaging Control 3.1\bin\win32 for the publishing process, not the 64 bit ones. But when I looked for them, there was no win32 folder at that location. On a different machine with Windows 7 32 bit I find folders for both 64 and 32 bit versions.
Might the reason for this be, that the setup wizard for the imaging control component simply doesn't install the 32 bit files when executed on a 64 bit system? Did I make a mistake?

Greetings,

Stefan

Well sorry, seems like the setup creates two folders on x64. The win32 folder goes to Program Files(x86)\..., the x64 one goes to Program Files\...

You are right.
