how to make external trigger?

can anyone point me to info on making an external trigger?
preferably for a, very much, non-engineering type. camera
is dfk61buc02.

Yes, this works. But keep in mind, the switch must not bounce. And also please keep in mind, the camera will capture images as long as the switch is closed.
