ROI Question

We are using ICImagingControl 3.0.6.

How does the Region-of-interest frame filter work? If I set a frame filter to half the size of my camera, does this mean the camera is only processing and returning images for this ROI?

Or will the camera return the full image and the ROI is extracted by software?

We are trying to reduce the bandwidth on the USB Controller so we can increase the frame rate.

Hello Kevin,

the camera always provides the full image. The ROI filter runs only in the computer. Thus you wont get higher frame rates using the ROI with CCD cameras.
