Carlo,

I guess, you can use the camera for auto guiding. You only need an auto guiding software.

Find PHD on the internet, a free program, should work like a charm.
One of the nicest auto guider programs around and works with about any camera.

Hi John
Thanks but I already knew him.
The problem is that PHD does not recognize my USB camera;
but only fireware camera

Supported Cameras
PHD Guiding can use a number of popular cameras to guide your mount. Unless noted, the cameras are supported only under Windows.

The Imaging Source / DCAM Firewire: Windows & OS X (see below)

I tried to suggest other models, but does not recognize any

Thanks

Carlo,

some time ago I wrote a plugin for GuideMaster. This should be able to handle the USB cameras as FireWire cameras. May be the "uvc_driver.vda" must be added to the plugin. This file can be found in the IC Capture directory.

Carlo,
You can go here for info on PHD.

It must be something with your mount because PHD doesn't care what camera is connected.

If PHD is based on Video for Windows, then you may encounter problems with a DMK. The old Video for Windows interface can not handle Y800 video format.
