I have a DMK21AF and power it with a CA-1394-64/PJ/2 cable.
This evening I connected the CCD with the plug inserted upside down while the AC adpator was on.:-(

Now IC Capture does not recognize the DMK21...

What a nerd am I...:silly:
Did I burn something in the CCD?
Is this camera reverse polarity protected?
Boy oh boy.

First of all, the camera is protected against switching of + and -. You can not damage the camera by this way. The camera is reverse polarity protected.

I would like you to check your camera again. Please let me know your results.

Tried several times...
still doesn't recognize the camera.

I am connecting to my laptop via a Conceptronic PCMCIA, model CDUOFWUC.
hit the refresh button and it is still dead...
the "cube" is warm, meaning there is some power getting to it, but no response.

To be more exact, the plug was inserted upside down on the camera end. this plug has a flat and round tips. I inserted the flat tip on the round socket and the round on the flat, hence I mean upside-down...

Do you have the possibility to connect the camera to a desktop computer using a 6-6 pin cable?

Not at the moment.
I need to get a cable for that. Will buy one, then.
This way, I won't be needing the AC adaptor, right?

Yes, in this case you do not need a AC adaptor. But I am afraid, there went something else wrong, thus the camera's 1394 chip has gone.
Please let me know the serial number of the camera.
