View Full Version : Time logging of image sequences with IC capture

Hi everybody,
With IC capture it is possible to tag a sequence with the date and time of creation. But the precision is then limited to 1 second.
Is it possible to obtain sub-second time log information ?
Any comment welcome !
Thanks in advance

Hi Jocelyn,
Thank you for your tip, but unfortunately this wont be very precise. When the image are saved, then the time they were exposed is "long time" ago.
Thus I do not think, we will add this to IC Capture.

Thanks for your answer, Stephen.
I was thinking to a mechanism by which time stamps are logged into a file _at the beginning_ of each acquisition (like the one available in the Lucam Recorder tool for instance).
This facility is extremely useful for certain kind of applications (like mutual occulations/eclipse btw satellites or asteroid tracking..)

Hi Jocelyn,
Well ... I do not think we will implement this in IC Capture ... but I have a simple application, that does this with Y800 AVI Capture.

At least, these milliseconds are not very accurate, because they are created by the computer and do not show the real exposure start time.
