Auto Max value

With a USB Camera, in the panel to setup the camera, there is a value called "Auto max value" which apparently limit the exposure time (to 0.5 sec) when making a movie.
It is not possible to get a hihger value. (ie 2 sec)
I can start a movie with exposures @ 2.sec, but at the end the exposure value is automatically reset to " auto max value".

How to avois this?

I am afraid, the maximum auto max value of 0.5 seconds is a limitation of the camera. If longer exposure times are used for automatic, then there are too less frames per second for the automatic algorithm. This will lead to extreme high changes in the exposure time, if the light conditins have changed.

In other words, this is a limitation of the automatic exposure algorithm and can not be avoided.
