View Full Version : Handling multiple cameras using .net control

December 2, 2008, 19:16:11
I need to handle 5 21AUC03 cameras in my application.
I have seen i can use the TIS.Imaging.ICImagingControl.Device property to set the camera name i want to use.
The question is: what if the camera names are all the same?
How can i identify, choose and manage a particular camera?
Thanks to you all..

IC Imaging Control should add a running number to the device name, if more than one camera of the same type is connected to the computer. If this is missing, then I would like to know, which operating system you use and which language the operating system uses.

In order to identify the camera correctly, you can use the serialnumber of the camera:

This is always the best method, because the sequence of camera may changes, depending on which one boots first.

You may contact me at http://www.imagingcontrol.com/en_US/support/case/. I will send you a small program that can be used to setup up to six video capture devices. I creates XML files for each device. I would like to, to send me these files.
