Hallo sdecorme,

I have played with the YMPEG - demo. It works fine for converting .avi to .mpeg files.

ICImagingControl supports only .avi output. You can add mpeg encoding
capabilities to you application, using an mpeg SDK, for example YMPEG SDK:
http://www.ympeg.com/sdk.htm

Such an SDK can be used in a framfilter or in the ImageReady-Event of your application for the mpeg output.

It is possible, but there is some development necessary.

First of all: mpeg2 codecs are not for free. Thus we have no MPEG container.

We would have to buy an mpeg codec + SDK and create such a container.

You may also try demo mpeg2 codecs, that can be used directly, but an AVI file with mpeg compression is created. This is not usable for DVD authoring.

I will try with a trial mpeg sdk encoder compatible with my capture card.
Thanks
