Hi,

When I go to run my app as a published version, on the same machine I developed on.

I get this message.

"Unable to get the window handle for the 'AxICImagingControl' control. Windowless ActiveX controls are not supported."

Everthing works fine in the development enviropnment.

Thanks,

Jack

Jack,

Which Visual Studio version do you use? Which is the target operating system? Did you install the IC Active additionally? I have a runtime setup for this, please send an email to support@imagingcontrol.com.

Also there is a know issue:

This issue can be fixed with the beta of IC 3.1.

We are seeing this same error from a machine that has Windows Vista, Visual Studio 2005, and Imaging Control 3.0.6 installed. Is this a known issue?

Also, is Imaging Control 3.1 Release Candidate available for download? I cannot find a link to it on your site.

Thanks,
Andrwe Brown

Hi Andrew,

using VS 2005 in Windows Vista should not have this problem. We tested this on our Vista systems.

Of course an RC is not published on our website for download :-). Please send a request to me from http://www.imagingcontrol.com/en_US/support/case/
