I have installed the latest drivers and control software. One camera is a DMx 41BF02, "Y800 (1280x960). I save the image as bitmap. Some viewers will open the image OK. Some viewers won't open it at all. Some viewers open it as an inverted image.

Is there something that I can do to make this greyscale BMP fully compatible with all viewers?

Jay,

the bmp format IC creates is a standard format as documented in the MSDN. If some viewes wont open them, then I do not know why. Which viewers cause trouble?

Sorry Stephan, I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions! MS paint won't open it, but I believe it is justified. Corel photo album is always OK. Further research finds that whether or not the Y800 bmp is displayed negative in the gdpicture control, depends upon the machine...

The problem seems to be in the gdpicture control!

It's not your problem.

Thanks for your help. Sorry to bother you.

The problem was fixed in the latest gdpicture control.
