Hello, the camera isnīt recognized by my laptop. I have an IBM Thinkpad R-40 with Texas Instruments PCI-1510 PMCIA Card and Win XP, I connect the camera with a Y cable 6 pin to 4 pin with 12V power adapter but in IC Capture is always the same: No devices found.:(

Where is the problem, perhaps in the PCMCIA Card?

Juan,

Yes, the new Thinkpads can have problems with compatibility to some FireWire chipsets.

Also try to switch +/- of the power supply. The camera is protected against this.

Stefan, I tried to swicht +/- of power supply but nothing happens. Perhaps the solution could be exchanging PCMCIA card and connecting the camera throught a powered external hub.....
