Visual C++ 200[58] Express Edition

is it possible to use the IC Imaging Control C++ class library with the 'Express Edition's of Microsofts Visual Studio? They are missing the MFC and ATL, so the examples don't work and before I try to get it working with a minimal example I thought I'd ask.

Yes, it is possible. I tried a simple Win32 program with the classlibrary some years ago in VS 2005.

anything in particular I need to watch out for or do you have a minimalistic example which initializes Grabber object? It's been ages since I've had to work with C++ under Windows.

All samples in the sample directories, that do not use the MFC will work in VS2005 Express, e.g the "Callback" sample.
