DMK 21AU04.AS an WinXP Problems

Hi,

I just own the above Cam for a few days. I can get it working perfectly under IC Capture Software, but I wanted it not only for planetary or moon capturing but also for autoguiding.

But I can not get it working with any other Software...

When I use it on my iMac the Cam get's recognized and I can even get pictures with it in Photobooth or Skype... On my Win Laptop I tried the same, VirtualDub Capturing, V4 Control for Littlefoot, PHD Guider and Guidmaster do not work...

PHD does not recognize the cam at all, guidemaster starts capturing but the windows stays dark and then it crashes, virtualdub claims that it can not open an input stream, and in V4 Control for Littlefoot the autoguiding windows will just remain gray.

I tried reinstalling DirectX 9.0 (latest version), but I think I'm either missing something here, this camera can't do this or my Windows installation is broken.

Hi,

shame on me... first of all it is a FireWire cam, which would be the 21AF04.AS :rolleyes:

And secondly I could get it to work with Guidemaster... But I did missed the part where it said that I should download the DMK Plugin.

I wrote the Guidemaster plugin, but I did not made a hint somewhere, that is should be use for GuideMaster. But on the GuideMaster webpage should be a hint.

Most of the programs do not use DirectShow, but Video for Windows interface. This usually does not support the Y800 video format of the DMK camera models.
