Hello folks, just updated TISDCam at 4.0.0.86 version and trying camera with ICcapture I noted that the "enable debayering" option is enabled and working even if I connected a B&W camera. For sure I will not use this option since I have no Bayer filter on camera CCD. Probably will be better to disable this option when a recognized camera is B/W... isn't it? ;)
A suggestion if I can... when you release new drivers or new ICCapture version why don't put this info on the RSS or in a particular section of the web pages?

Hi Marsel,

Thank you for your tipps. But since IC Capture is hardware independent, this we can not recognize whether a camera will provide a color format, B/W format or raw data. I guess in this case it is better to keep all options available.

I know, that I have to learn about how to publish new releases. Sorry for this. The new driver was released yesterday, but it will give only new properties for strobe of the BF camera series.

Hi Stefan, thanks for your reply. Yes, I agree to leave all options available since ICcapture is hardware indipendent. I was thinking, since at ICCapture starts it will ask for a "recognized" camera (model, serial number), it was hardware dipendent. No problems... forget it... eventually you can write a white paper that explain this and the people will know how to use the software. That's it. About new driver/software version. I hotly recommend to compile a release history, in this way the people know what's the difference between each realease and we can choose if upgrade or not.
Have a GREAT weekend Stefan... thanks again for this interesting discussion. ;)

Marsel,

I must apologize for a wrong information. The driver's dialog has changed. The exposure setting is better if you use K2CCDTools now.

 Stefan... this means that K3CCDtools "read" firewire DMK cameras? If this is true means that we can use DMK cameras ALSO for guiding telescope mounts.
This is a good news for me... Thanks.

Hi,

Yes K3CCDTools recognizes the TIS cameras. I learned to guide yesterday with a DMK 21AF04.AS and it went very smoothly.

The setup is also quite easy :)
