View Full Version : Distribute my Application!

I'm using IC 3.0.3 together with VC08.

Since there's no documentation how to set up or distribute my application for vc08 I supposed it to be like for vc07 (except the dlls with ending *vc8.dll).

But where can I find the "stdcodecadapter.dll"?

Is there a complete reference that shows all the files I need to distribute my application written with VC08?!

Hello Bolle,

I am very sorry, there is an error in the documentation. The stdcodecadapter.dll is no longer used. The documentation has not been updated.

The original list of needed files can be found at following link:
http://www.imagingcontrol.com/support/documentation/class/Distribute.htm

I will correct it in the next minutes vor VC8 too.

Bo,

the new page is up now.

And you are not rude, I only needed a "kick" to correct the documentation at this part. :-)

I'm not sure, but aren't there missing

# MSVCR80.DLL
# MSVCP80.DLL

for Distributing an VS05 Application?

No. Only the 71 version of the MFC Runtime are needed.

Bo,

I have created a sample setup script for Innosetup (freeware). You can find the script and a documentation about what I did at
http://www.imagingcontrol.com/library/cpp/section/setups/example/class-library-setup/

The resulting setup has been tested on a completely fresh Windows XP computer, no Visual Studio, no IC Imaging Control installed.
