ASF file output from Multi File Writer?

Hi,

I would like to get output from a preview-and-capture graph in compressed Windows Media Video 9 format via the ASF File Writer, but when I pick that encoder the file name extension stays .avi and I don't get any output. The graph I am using is this:

MV IP Camera Source -> MV MJPEG Decompressor -> MV Recording (output pin) -> Color Space Converter -> Video Renderer

MV Recording (record pin) -> (video pin) MV Multi File Writer

Realteck AC97 Audio -> (audio pin) MV Multi File Writer

I does not seem to work without the audio pin, but in any event I don't get a file that is playable in WM Player.

What am I doing wrong? I am using the 24hVideorecorder demo.

Hi Micheal,

I am sorry, but the MV MultiFilewriter doesn't support the ASF File Writer at the moment.

I too was interested in the ASF format and implemented with this MVP file.

IP Source --> MV MJEPEG Decom --> WM ASF Writer

I ask the file how large it is and start a new file when a certain size is reached. I used profiles .prx files (from scratch) and use a profile to configure the ASF writer with no audio stream.

If you'd like more details let me know,
