Labview 8.01 causing video to freeze

Has anyone else had issues with Labview 8 causing IC imaging video to freeze after a 5-10 minutes of the applicaton running?

Regardless if I host the activeX component inside labview or run it in the C++ demo application simultaneously with labview, the video freezes and I have to restart the system. The control worked great in labview version 7.1 w/ same hardware.

I've determined that it has something to do with Labview's standard serial port VI's during communication that causes the video locks up. If I find the specific problem I will try to keep everyone updated.

Update: I replaced the serial card in the system with a different make/model/driver and the problem went away. I'm guessing it was a bad serial card driver.
