Writing a DS Filter that has I/O interfaces (pins)

Hi,

We want to design our specific DS Filter, with our functionality, and that may be connected to I/O pins of the MontiVision I/O family e.g., Text In, Text Out, RS-232...

For example, writing a filter that outputs text via a Out pin, and will be connected with the MV Text-In pin of a MVText Overlay Filter.

We understand that some of the MV filters, like the MVTextOverlay generate receive Text for overlay.

MontiVision I/O pins are implemented using a custom library we internally use. You are planning to develop a DirectShow Filter using the regular DirectShow API?

Yes, so we need the interface definitions (mediaType, subMediaType, ...) to your MV DS Filter I/O pins. First implementation for us will be the text in I/O pin of the MVTextOverlay filter.
