Hi Stefan,

I have a few question about ICImagingControl.

1. Is it able to capture a short video file (e.g. 10 seconds avi format) with the ICImagingControl filter when doing the image processing (i am using "ImageAvailable" in vb.net)? How to do?

2. Is it possible to display overlay in the live view and not to interference incoming video data which is using for the image processing? How to do?

Best Regards

Hi Zihui,

Yes, all of this is possible with IC Imaging Control 3.0. For image processing you would need a matching filter. The OverlayBitmap is to be moved in the Displaypath. Then the drawings are only on the live display but not in the AVI file.

Hi Stefan,

Thanks for your reply. I am using vb.net 2003 and ICImagingControl 3.0.

Could you explain more details on capture an avi and do the image processing simultaneously in vb.net?

Best Regards.

Zihui,

you only need to insert a filter at the device path. In this filter the image processing is done. The rest of your application does not need to be changed. I suggest to use one of the standard filters for testing, e.g. the dennoise or the roi filter.
Please refer to:

To create your own filter class, IC 3.0 comes with an wizard for this:
