Hi,
we plan to use Sony DCRHC90 which comes with i.ILINK(Firewire?).
Does IC Imaging Control .NET support this device?
Thx in advance
Clemens

Hello Clemens,

If there is a WDM driver for these devices available, then they are supported.

Dear Stefan,
first of all: thanks for your instantaneous answers!

As I don't have the camera at hand, how can I find out whether a WDM driver is available?
Thx
Clemens

Hi Clemens,

I have looked, the DCRHC90 is a camcorder. That means that the standard Microsoft DV driver will be installed. Thus, it will be suppord by IC Imaging Control professional. But audio is not supported.

Thanks!
Why is audio not supported?

Clemens

Would things change if I connected the CAM through USB?
Thx

Clemens,

Audio is not supported, because there is no use for audio in industrial image processing. Also USB would not change anythings about this issue. Thus you should check, whether IC Imaging Control is the right SDK for you.

I will have to check how "important" sound is.

Sorry for asking this: what alternative SDKs do support audio?

Thanks
Clemens
